2014 Camaro Z/28 vs 1969 Camaro "Big Red" vs 2013 Mustang Boss 302

In the June 2014 issue of Hot Rod, they pitted the '14 Z/28, 1969 Camaro "Big Red", and 2013 Boss 302 against eachother on the Barber Road Course in Birmingham, Alabama. The Big Red was driven by it's owner/builder, R.J. Gottlieb, and Randy Pobst, the owner of the Boss 302, drove the other two on the same day as Big Red ran on the same track. The Big Red crashed into a barrier after a couple laps into it. The Big Red also had so much power it kept slipping on the dyno, so the dyno stats below for the Big Red are the best they could achieve with that particular dyno.

Big Red driven by it's long-time owner-builder (and a serious driver), R.J. Gottlieb, who likely got all he could...

Randy Pobst drove the other two, same day as Big Red ran, same track...

The owner of big red should have let Randy drive.

He probably wouldn't have crashed it.

Big red time meaningless since probably big driver difference.
