Question South SF Bay: Looking for opinions on dealerships

Hello,

I'm looking for a dealership for a courtesy delivery ( ordered from another dealer) and for service.

I'd appreciate your opinions.

I know of the following dealerships:

Colma(??)
Burlingame (putnam)
Redwood city (boardwalk)
San Jose (courtesy & capitol)
Fremont( fremont)

Thanks in advance!

Putnam is alright for purchasing a vehicle, just be sure you work with David, the Floor Manager. As far as service I think Fremont would be your best bet. My girlfriend took her camaro to capitol chevy for warranty work. The Service manager is an alright guy, he tries to be your friend, but the actual mechanics are very knowledgable about the camaro.

hope that helps!

Bought mine from Courtsey. If they offered me a ZL1 for $100 I'd tell em to stuff it.

Any questions?

=)

Thanks for the input.

I have a couple of weeks before I have to pull the trigger so I'll take all the feedback I can get.

Sorry to hear you don't like Courtesy, Chris. I've had great experiences with them in sales and service. My 4 Chevys are serviced by them.

I bought my car from Putnam in Burlingame. It's not worth rehashing the story but I wouldn't go back there for anything.

courtesy will not be helpful at all especially since you are not buying from them. and there service is even worse the scratched my gf's car and tried to deny it. capitol is nice and i have no complaints but they did not wow me either. i am unsure about their service dept tho

I have had good exerpeiences at dublin chevy (buying) and fremont chevy (service).

I avoid courtesy. no real experience with capitol. i went there once and they had a $2k dealer mark up on aveos, and i have never seen the need to go back.

bought a pontiac from putnam once and it was a good experience, but i never had to go back.

I've been to boardwalk twice and never had anyone approach me to ask if i had any questions and i went there once to see a car they said on their website was ready for a test drive only to be told it was at a show for the weekend. waste of a drive.

I'd recommend the top two based on my experiences.

I bought my camaro from Boardwalk Chevrolet in RWC. I have nothing, but good things to say about them.
