Seat Upholstry Issue - FIXED!

As per the picture, the leather around the driver's seat release handle had pulled away from the release handle trim. Dealer researched and found bulletin #16-NA-289 for same complaint. Fix was pushpins to hold the leather to the seat frame. Seems to be fixed for the moment.

Hope you don't have this problem, but if you do . . . it can be repaired.

My dealer must have missed the TSB. They ordered a new cover.... I just have to go get it installed.

Wow! I thought this issue was only in gen6’s with cloth seats? Glad to see there’s a tsb for repairing this.

I've already had my seat cover replaced for this issue. And now the new one is starting to do it again after 6 months.

Yes, but as soon as you sit down, it pulls right out again.

Anyone have the part number or size of the push pins?
My drivers seat is doing this and I can see where the pins are missing. I'd rather fix it myself as opposed to letting it sit at the dealership for a day while they do it.

Thanks in advance.
