I still think you end up with relatively low production, and many more 2SS cars than 1LE cars. I also don't see any of these cars being collectible for a very long time....like at 49, not in my lifetime!

unhappy 1LE owners? yep......let's start with the clutch system, anyone want to argue that one? and yes, i know its a CAMARO issue in general, but it is front and center for MANY who track their car............I got lucky(didn't fail), most did not.

5th gen 1le comes with oil and trans cooler...but not diff.

It seems that 25xx seems to be around the magic annual production numbers for the 5gen 1le.

Now in 17, no 2ss 1le, and yes to v6 1le.

Bet the annual production still pans out to 2500ish 1le's for 2017.

Seems to be what the market will bear at this time for that style of car.

I mentioned I thought the clutch was junk when I first got my car and got ridiculed.

So take it from a camaro track rat, the A8 is the best passenger tranny I have used on the track (except the porsche pdk)....It is a shame that this is not going in the 1LE with better cooling (only complaint about A8). At this point, I would RATHER buy an A8 1ss, add 6 pistons and better tires and I would probably clean the new 1LE's clock around laguna. It is no fun task to keep the current one in the powerband, the A8 was a breeze to do so. The 3 second claim has waaaaaaaay too many variables, I am not even going to discuss it, but add the brakes/tires/cooling ($5k or so) and you probably have erase almost all of it.
I think the eLSD and Mag Ride accounts for a good deal of that three-second improvement, too.

On the clutch note...it will be very interesting to see if the clutch brake reservoirs are separated this time around...and if not...the size of the single reservoir.

We looked under the hood at the preview, and if memory serves, they were not. Seemed to look the same as all other SSs.

Interesting. Does anyone know if the Z28 reservoir was the same or larger than 5th gen 1LE?

Those were also the same. The ABS systems had unique calibrations, but the reservoirs were the same.
