1LE shifter knob
Don't know if anyone has found out yet or not, but here it is anyways. 1LE knobs do not come off with just a wiggle and a tug, they actually have star driver headed bolt, here is a picture that should explain everything. The boot comes off by pulling up and twisting counter clockwise and down on the chrome ring, we'll, here's the picture.

Yes, this is common knowledge for us 1LE owners. Up and turn on the chrome ring, then slide the ring down, and remove the screw.
This has been gone over several times here. |

I am having pretty good luck with my Hurst. I don't expect an aftermarket shifter to be quiet and be so soft it has no feed back. Never understood this.....

Nothing in the DIY section, besides, there are alot of new owners that need to see this, just because your a 1LE owner does not make it common knowledge.

I didn't know how it came off either, so I used google and figured it out before I broke anything. Besides, this isn't just a 1lE thing, all Camaro manual shifters work like this now. |
