License plate frames
I noticed a lot of these cars have the license plate frames on the front of the car. My state does not require front license plate and I cannot stand the way it looks.
Is it possible to remove these things without leaving big holes in the front bumper? This would actually be a show stopper for me when buying a car. |

Yes, it's possible. If installed you'd have to drill out the rivets. If buying new, tell the dealer NOT to install. That's what I did.

I'm glad my sales guy didn't get the bracket installed!

My dealer didn't install and now in trunk. It's an RS and at first my son was going to put a Mississippi State University tag on the front, but he and I agreed the grill looked so clean and mean without it, it will stay in the truck!

And the thing is you paid $40.00 for that thing that you never will use. It pisses me off because I live in Florida and they have cars come in with the bracket not installed but it's on the sticker on the price of the car.

My 2018 ZL1 plate holder just hugs the front honeycomb grille section. No drilling. My dealer never put it on. I looked at it because I didn't want a ticket and it is pretty easy to install with no damage. You could get the zl1 addon one that attaches to the tow screw or the underneath one, both easily removable. Just leave them off and if you get pulled over just tell the cop you forgot to put it back after the track and have it in the trunk.

NO, his car must have been an early build '17, $33,550 list. Only options were RS, V6, A8, sunroof, $395 for Garnet Red paint and the front license bracket. The list price for the bracket on the sticker was $15. Car was transferred from an Arkansas dealer to my Ms. dealer. Had been on their lot over 400 days. Don't mind having it in case he changes his mind in the future over $15,

It clips to the grille but they drill two holes and use pop rivets to hold it securely. If/when you drill out the rivets you will need to fill up the holes.
