Tuning a 16 SS W/ bolt on/E85

Hey guys,

I have been doing a couple of searches on the forum and have not been able to track down a legit tuner that knows what they are doing on a 6th gen LT1. Come March/April when Minnesota thaws out, I will be looking to bring my car somewhere to get it tuned.

Does anyone know or have any proof of some successful LT1 Tuning with Bolt on's (headers, no cats, CAI, Cat Back Exhaust) and E85/93 octane. My car is an A8, but not really looking at transmission tuning unless it is needed.

I want a fairly conservative tune as I am not looking to hurt anything, but I do want to get the thing back up and running for the summer. I also want to do a dyno tune only, not really looking for a street tuner

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How far are you willing to go? haha

I got mine tuned at Cunningham in Temecula CA and I have almost the same bolt ons (catless headers/catback exhaust/e85)

I will go wherever it needs to be brought, I would prefer closer to me... but if that is what it takes I guess that's where I am going...

It's just one recommendation. A lot of LT1s have been tuned there but let's see if anyone else chimes in with something closer.

Is it possible to remote tune for e85?

Also, i know its a long way from you, but Cunningam, Accelerated Racing Solutions, and New Era Performance in SoCal have done it to several cars i've seen with good results. But i doubt you'll want to travel that far

Ted Jannetty supplied me with a spot-on email tune when I added CAI/E85, and again when I added Kooks long tubes.

Get HPTuners and Pray Performance who frequents this Forums (Also on FaceBook) can do a remote tune with you. I am currently running Pray's tune on my car and I absolutely love it. He is very responsive and I have never had an issue getting in touch with him in a timely manner. Highly recommended from my first hand experience.

Is that a normal process for tuners to do? It seems a little sketchy that they are not able to monitor the car while the tune is being done...

You would make a pull, send him the log and snap and pic of the fuel curve for him. He would make the adjustment and you would upload them and make another pull.

I am interested in this, Would this be something that I would be able to use a high end scan tool to do or would I use a tuner (diablo or equivalent)?

Pray Perfomance gets my vote. Contact him and talk a bit. He does email tunes that work.

The times in my sig are from his work and that's just with E85 and a axleback for mods.
