Any news on if it'll be region free or region locked? I'd rather not have to buy 2 of each eventually to play games from Japan :(
and before anyone gets any idea I'm complaining about not having backwards compatibility I'm not. Nor am I complaining that I'll have to have both connected if I want to play older games. Just wishful thoughts that I didn't have to go through with that.

well sony has been good so far with no products (besides ps2) being region locked. So I'm hoping they stay the same. Microsoft has been the opposite, and I'm hoping that they remove it for once. :(

Not only that, they showed the inside too, which I thought was awesome on Microsoft's part.

It seems like a lot of you are really concerned about the ram. For a serious desktop, 8 gbs is recommended, but its a little more than needed. Ram isnt significant in performance, especially with consoles. This is because you wont be multitasking much. When you play a game, you are just playing that game. The OS that the concoles run are much lighter than windows too.

Stop freakin out about the 4 gbs of ram. Its cheaper, cooler temps, and a tiny bit less voltage.

Here is my question: Why is the physical console so big? I know it has better heat dispersion but I mean it looks massive. I like the sleekness it has going though.

I had to scroll through to see whats youve posted. I totally agree with you too. The ram will not be a bottleneck at all.

People should be more concerned about the heating problems that the 360 had. I think that is why there are so many vents on this one, and maybe thats why its bigger as well.

Any specs on the gps at all? I want them pretty badly...

The only area that the RAM might be affected is the DDR3 vs DDR5 speeds. But don't think it'll make that big of impact being as the games will be programmed with that in mind.

if you're talking about the gpu? then I wouldn't know for sure. But if its a APU type chip then I'd guess 6000 series or 7000 series integrated.

Don't you have a PlayStation fanboy forum you should be at?
