NA Engine Build
Since I have bought my 2018 1LE I am looking into giving it some more power but on a NA build. I am looking for information about weak links in the engine...
What can the internals of this engine hold up to? Car is daily driven in summer and go to 3-4 track days a year also the car is hidden for winter. I read about the supercharger setups and not many NA, saw many mixed opinions / results. Saw that the rods fail, some say pistons crack ect. Looking for mainly around the 650-700 WHP and same for torque figures. 2018 2SS 1LE 6 Speed Trans |

I believe it's more possible than you think. Look up the Katech Street Fighter 427. Contact them and tell them your goals. You may just hit them with the right combo and fuel.

The cost associated with getting 200whp all motor ould be double the cost or more to just bolting on a procharger and you got your 150 safe WHP bump for 6k.... |

600 rwhp is about tops for NA without increasing cubes (eg stroker/bore), and that can get expensive.

I believe you can do this at 6.2L however you will need more rpms and that gets expensive. Using some equations from another site you can make about 710 at the crank if you make 530ft-lbs peak and rev to 8,000rpms. 9,000rpms would get you 800 at the crank which is probably closer to what you would need to hit 700RWHP at 6.2L, that and Corvette racings budget.

That’s a unicorn if I ever heard of one. |
