Resonated X Pipe and Muffler Delete

Just thought I would let you all know I ordered my Resonated X pipe. I am planning on deleting resonators and mufflers and running 3in pipe from the cut back. I will be sure and post videos when it is all said and done. I currently Have a CAI so it shouldn't sound TOO Horrible but this is just a temporary exhaust until I get MRT 2.0 If anyone knows people who have run this setup can can find a video it would be greatly appreciated! I can't seem to find one for the life of me... Thanks in advance!!!

you should run the 3" from the xpipe back if your gonna do this. This is exactly what I plan on doing next but if you do 3" pipes from your cats, I can almost guarantee you'll loose power for sure. Anything larger than the 2.5" pipe from the headers to the hpipe or xpipe will remove back pressure which is needed for compression.

Any chance you could take a vid of your car now and then one after you get everything done? So that we can hear the differences before and after

I will for sure do this. I wonder if all these new mods I got do anything for sound? ported cylinders, intake manifold, tb and insulator.

I felt that when I did the intake manifold that it refined the tone so to speak. Don't really know how else to describe it. Nothing major but it was something I was able to tell.

Glad I am not dreaming. I have noticed after adding my ported intake manifold and plenum spacer the sound note has changed. Seems louder.

I will be sure to have the B4 and After video's posted as soon as all is finished! I do plan on running the new pipe from the X pipe back. I re read my first post and i meant from the cut implying that I would not be doing anything from the cats to the X pipe :-) I wish my parts would get here! Im getting very antsy!

Ok, All is installed. It really had surprised me how GREAT it sounds! Not too much drone at 75mph but nice a deep when slowly accelerating :-) I am thrilled! As soon as it cools down I will go make a video of a cold start!

Wait till the piping breaks in, it will get much deeper.

I have straight pipes with no resonators at first didnt sound good, but now it sounds amazing very deep in all rpm ranges.

SIXJAK mentioned to me when he got his ported intake that that it seemed to refine or smoothen up the sound a bit...and I also have to say I agree now that I've had mine for quite a while.

Unfortunately, for some this may be a good thing, but for me I really liked the growl my exhaust note had before installing it. Not that its a big change, but noticeable. Oh wells....worth it

I hope you upload that video soon! I've been searching for an exhaust since I bought my car about a month and a half ago. Every exhaust I have heard sounds like my old Crossfire and I dont want that Euro sound on this car lol

I know it wont sound like a v8, but it can sound more American with a muffler delete for sure if done with nice compliments like a x pipe. Just want a quality video though, even though I have seen tons already Did you wind up running the new 3 inch pipe from the X pipe back?

I have Longtubes, high flow cats, resonated xpipe, muffler delete, OEM resonators delete, 2.5 inch all the way though. That video is old. Does not give it justice. A lot deeper with time. Now I have quad tips as well

Not too shabby so far, but the cold start is always the good stuff anyways. Need to hear more
