Thumbs up Somehow, I managed to hit the 13's

You heard that right, I hit the 13's with nothing but a CAI in my 2014 1LS 6 speed this last weekend out at Samoa drag strip near Eureka CA. Temps were about 63 degrees and i'm not sure about the humidity, but i'm sure it was high since we are about 400 feet from the ocean.

I wish this was with the stock air box, but i'm stoked anyways.

HELL YES !!! Great run, now you will get the itch and start scratching. :-) Darn itch never goes away once you scratch.

Nice run. Not bad at all for a 6 speed with just a CAI. and as mentioned, that scratch is tough to take care of. Good Luck in the future, and enjoy.

Great run... Except for that red light

Mad props for doing it with a manual, and barely any mods... What was the DA?

Great run, especially with the manual. Maybe you should have tried for 13s bone stock lol. Just kidding. I believe we've only had one stock car get under 14 before.

I thought about putting on the stock box and running it to see if i can hit the 13's again. I think it shouldn't be an issue since samoa is constantly 60 degrees and the air quality is amazing. Btw not sure what you meant by "DA".

And yes the itch was created back in 2013 when i got the car, since then i got myself a 73 camaro that runs solid 11.80's and i couldn't be happier with both cars.

It's also mostly asphalt so instead of getting wheel hop, you just spin and chirp on street tires. Sadly, if you have slicks it's harder to hook because the track isn't very sticky. go youtube it and see how laid back it is.

The fastest LFX with bolt on's has not been able to break into the top 10 bolt-ons as of yet.

Check out the 1/4 mile thread I maintain.
