30% less weight, or 30% more power?
If all the Camaro models across the board (z28/ZL1/SS/LT/LS) could come from the factory with either 30% less weight, or 30% more power, which would you prefer?

Depends on what you are doing with the car (drag strip vs road course) and where that weight is coming from (how much is rotating mass).

Weight equals safety, but I'll gladly take more power.

Less weight.....anybody that has experienced the affects of removing weight vs. adding power will feel the same way.
This is of course taking in to consideration the SS has now, and in 2016 will have no less than, 426hp(LS3).

Less weight (removed from the proper areas) will make the car accelerate better, stop better, and turn better. More power really only helps acceleration.

Less weight, for sure. But 30%? That's around 1,200 lbs... where are you going to find that much weight you can get rid of and still maintain safety and stability like we have now? Can't be done. A 10% reduction (400 lbs.) would be miraculous!

Weight is harder to reduce than adding more power. I'd go for less weight and then add power myself on top of that!

Weight. I think that's the reason my 3rd and 4th gens were more fun to drive, you could toss them around. The camaro manages to feel heavier than it is.
