Amplifying factory speakers 24' non Bose.
Hey guys and gals,
It's been 5 years since I sold my 2017 1ss for a minivan and I can proudly say I'm back in a 2024 1ss. My 2017 had a slightly different trunk setup so I'm here to get some folks guidance. Back in 2017 I followed this thread https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...=459430&page=6 and did my setup very similar by tapping into the factory amp and add my own 4 channel amp to amplify my factory speakers using an lc7i in the trunk. Now my 2024 doesn't seem to have a factory amp I can tap into to amplify my factory speakers from the trunk. Am I wrong? I really don't want to start prying off panels to replace speakers and such so I'm curious if anyone's threw an amp into their factory setup on the new models? Thanks.

I detail the schematics for our cars in my build log (link in sig). You can easily intercept the factory wiring with a harness to allow for external amplifiers. But you will need to remove panels to run wiring since the head unit interface is in the passenger side dash.

Thank you for doing this! So from what it appears, they moved the factory amp from the trunk to the dash in the last few years, unfortunately. That makes things a little more of a pain in the butt.
