Purchases 2018 2018 SS 2SS Manual, Hill Start Assist or not?

Just purchased a 2018 Camaro SS 2SS with the manual transmission last week. Absolutely LOVE the car. Amazingly powerful and surprisingly comfortable. Even gets rather good gas mileage when not playing with it as I found out.

Question is this. I see debatable information about HSA on the SS. It's nowhere on my sticker but most of the info says it should be there. That being said, I think I might have felt it one time since the purchase and not sure about that. Is it or is it not supposed to have this? Main reason I ask is that if it is, just want to make sure nothing is wrong with the car if it doesn't seem to be working. Or am I just not in the right situation?

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

My 2017 1SS has it, so I'm sure that your car has it. I have noticed it kick-in on steeper inclines. Sometimes on less steep inclines it tries to come on, but it doesn't seem to keep the brakes locked.

Yes it has it. Try a steeper incline.

My wife's mazda 6 has it and it kicks on a lot.... On my camaro not so much. It will turn on when there are really steep hills though.

Mine only works on a really steep hill. The bmw I had before this worked all the time. I'm ok with it.

You'll know when it's on. It says so in the DIC

My 2ss a8 works even on the slightest of grades. It tells you when it's on.

Same for me. On my a8, it pops up on the slightest of hills.

It's definitely on the M6. You have to have the clutch and brake depressed and be in first gear. Once you release the brake it activates with a prompt on the dash, and keeps the brakes on until you get rolling forward. We have quite a few intersections on steep grades around here, so I've seen it pop up many times.

this is my first car with hill assist & I love it. Not obtrusive, and works well for me on steeper areas. I've driven a manual since 1970, so I wasn't sure I would like this. But I do!
