the V8 days are numbered, and in ten years we'll probably be discussing when the 6's will disappear. turbo'd 4's are already becoming pretty prevalent out there. |

no, but we are limited by the laws of physics. an internal combustion engine will always loose 90% of it's energy produced by burning gas to heat |

4-7k units per month is not "selling the shit out of something" to put it in perspective, Toyota sells almost 70k Camry's a month. yes, the camaro leads it's segment. but it's also one of the smallest (not every car company makes a sports/muscle car) and probably the smallest volume segment.

I know that there were no model year Camaro's from 2003 to 2009, but I also remember something about the Third Generation Camaro, when they had the Iroc-Z, where there were Camaro's (meaning V6's) and Iroc-Z's, but no Z28's for a while.
The reason they did that was because for a little bit more...over the price of a Z28...you could get an Iroc-Z. So people either saved money, with the V6 version, or they paid a little more for the Iroc-Z, so for a while no Z28's were really selling, so they stopped that model for a few years. I don't know what they plan on with the current Camaro though.

Made my point actually, great things are possible from gas free vehicles but the camaro and muscle cars are v8 beasts to me and seeing an ev just wouldn't be the same. I just would prefer Chevy invent a new name for the next generation of sports cars.
