I have never been pulled over in my Camaro or my Charger. When I had a buick I had the windows at 5% and got pulled over twice. I don't get it, a Camaro and Charger with illegal windows and never pulled over but a buick?

You would think common sense would prevail but there is actually case law upholding a window tint violation from out of state. I would never/ have never stopped on out of state vehicle for window tint. And the only Ohio vehicles I stop for it are cars running limo tint (5%)

I've never gotten a ticket for tint (I'm in Cali too). Most cops I know say they wait to pull you over for something else, and hammer you for everything at once. My front windows are only 35% so it's not too bad. But I know some people that have been pulled over by "bored" cops and ticketed.
I see LOTS of people in Cali driving around with tint much darker than mine. I would think most cops won't care so much about your tint if you're behaving yourself on the road. |

Man, that would be some absolute BS to be passing through a state and get pulled over for having too dark of a tint. Im sure most law enforcement officers would be understanding and worst case scenario, if it went before a judge they would be as well, but thats crazy.
Slim Thug says 5 percent tint. |

I have yet to have any problems... I like to think that tints are not suspicious on nicer cars such as ours. I've been pulled over for speeding, but the tints have never been an issue. (knock on wood)

I have once for my tail light tint. He let me off with a warning after saying he'd never seen the kind I had before. They were cling-one that were perforated. I told him I'd take it off once I got home. I did, kinda. Just put new stuff back on.
This is when I got pulled over. This is now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk.

It is not legal, and you set yourself up for the possibility of obviously having this thrown out in court. Now 100% obviously, the officer could have observed you doing something and/or make something (not that you would) but pulling me over under suspicion is backasswards to me. |
