I'll bet for your avg drivers and avg track/weather - low/mid 12s.
Great driver on a great day, speed shifting - high 11's. |

Catch me if you can

ah Just remember, anything under 11.49 the car will need a roll cage at most tracks. So I doubt GM is going to let the car leave the factory going faster than that.

10.7....no....11's? I dont see why not on an optimal run with a great driver. for someone like myself it would be a 12's car haha

The ZR-1 has often been tested @ 11.2 sec (or faster) 1/4 miles bone stock in various magazines.

if you take in account ROD1 ran an 11.9 in a one legged V6 with a 125 shot of NOS, I don't see why 11's is a stretch....

A MotorTrend test of a 2011 Mustang Cobra GT500 is clock at 12.5 in the quarter mile. You have to believe GM did whatever they could to beat this mark. The ZL1 also has the advantage of having an automatic that can not be ordered with the GT500. So I would go with low 12s.

Also interesting note that the Boss 302 is 12.3 in the quarter mile, .2 seconds faster than the GT500. All of us patient Z/28 fans will be rewarded with a faster Z/28 than the ZL1.

As someone has already shown above....someone ran an 11.9 in a stock CTS-V auto.
You gotta believe the ZL1 will be able to top that on a good run. But I'll throw my guess out and say LOW 12s will be the norm.

It should run high 11's with the power that the zl1 is promising. The cts-v can run low 12's bone stock, so with the right tire and some modest weight savings I don't see why the camaro couldn't run a high 11 second pass.

I am guessing 11.8 - 12.1 for the magazines.
