Wax, wraps and white ZL1

Curious, what brand of wax are those with a white car using? Also, I just had the front and quarter panels wrapped. Anyone else, and what do you use on it? I bought signature series 2 wax and a matte/ vinyl spray.

Wax is dead, use a sealant. Lasts longer esp in Florida. Try Carpro reload after “waxing” with a polish. This about the best stuff out there these days:

On just bare film and paint use full strength Reload by Carpro. You’ll wonder where it’s been all your life. Works like rainx on glass too.

Carpro USA which is in central Florida. Use code 15OFF for a 15% discount.

https://www.carpro-us.com/protection...ad-500ml-17oz/

If your wrap is matte finish, don't use this on it, paint only, it adds gloss. You can put the wax on top of the Reload if you like. All natural wax like the Pinnacle you have wont last very long in the Florida sun.

If you want the best detailing towels you can buy for sealant/wax wipedown after application, look at the Microfiber Madness Crazy Pile towels also sold at Carpro USA. Yes they are expensive, but a better towel isn't made for this purpose.

I’ve been very happy with these MF towels:

Half the price of MM crazy pile.

Do these lint? I read someone say they had that issue. I bought a bunch to replace the Chemical Guys finisher towels because they would lint like motttthhhherrrrr when buffing (they are very similar).

So far I have only used the eagles for rinseless and no issue there. Just not sure about dry use. Planning a ceramic coat in the next week and can’t have lint all over the car!

They will on occasion, not a lot but somewhat, that's why I use Crazy Piles for wax/sealant removal. You can't get a better towel for this purpose.

That's not to say that the Eagles are bad towels for other purposes, they are excellent for rinseless, and compound/polish removal. They are a great bang for the buck towel for sure.

The Crazy Pile requires very little pressure to remove excess wax/sealants and on an average sized car like a Camaro, one towel will get the job done, as they hold a lot of product. I've never had one lint, not ever.

For excess removal when applying a coating, you'll be using suede towels.

If your applying Reload afterwards, one CP to spread it out, another to remove excess.

Again, the RC EE aren't bad towels, but when comparing them against a Crazy Pile for wax/sealant removal, it's like comparing a Griots Garage 6" R/O against a Rupes 21 for compounding/finishing.

Both will get the job done, but the Rupes will do it faster, easier, and better. Just like the Crazy Pile towel, this is the reason you rarely see Rupes polishers on sale. When a product is "top of the line", it doesn't go on sale often.

Yes if I drag one across the window glass guide and rubber trim, but not on my paint, which is filmed and coated FWIW. I only use them for quick detailing with diluted reload and have’t seen any lint anywhere. I washed them before first use.

You can put the Pinnacle Wax on top of the Reload if you want to. It doesn't contain any solvents or abrasives so it wont remove the Reload.

The rag company has best price on microfiber towels so far I found I get Korean made edgeless brand for years and hold up well .

I am considering nano coating such as Opti-Coat after full PPF wrap will need more info based on manufacturers recommendations. Indeed rest not wrapped getting Opti-Coat.
