Ls3 ss vs Lexus isf 350
Ok I have a 2010 ss ls3. Bone stock basically with slp loudmouths and hurst short throw shifter. I jumped on the freeway after work and a Lexus isf350 is riding my ass then jumps over and is dyin to runem.. Assuming he was stock who woulda been king of the freeway? I'm thinkin I woulda had my ass handed to me....?

Was it an f-sport 350 or was it an isf? There's a difference. The former you would have owned. The latter would have ripped you one probably.

If it was the F Sport 350 u would have beat it.. As fars as the ISF ripping u a new one I doubt that, but he might of walked u a bit, depending on who got the jump. Nothing drastic though. They rum comparable times to the LS3, 5.0, and M3 if im not mistaken. Not axact, but overall pretty close.

You would have destroyed an IS 350 (3600lbs/306 hp) with an IS-F it would have been even as it has an exact power to weight ratio to your SS (3750lbs/414 hp V.S. 3880lbs/426hp)

An IS350 does 0-60 in less than 5 seconds and the 1/4 mile in low-mid 13s(Hell, Road and Track got 4.9 and 13.5 respectively, on a IS350 with less than 1,000 miles on the odo). Camaro SS is just as fast to 60 mph... In other words, the IS350 is nearly just as fast as the Camaro SS at legal speeds. The first two gears of the IS350's 6-speed are lower than the first two gears of the IS-F's 8-speed. Do some research before you just spout out words that are attached to feeling towards a car instead of real objective points. The IS350 is the fastest N/A V6 automatic sedan from a dig on the market.

Seriously? Dude. You're feeling threatened by an IS350? Believe me guy, your LS3 is THE CAT. This. IS350, you'll brush off like a gnat. IS-F on the other hand, will def keep you on your toes.

But IS-F has 8-gears.... it should have a respectable advantage over a Camaro SS from a roll, the LS3 manual or (especially)the L99(cylinder deactivation mode, plus power disadvantage).

The IS-f is a much better match. http://www.lexus.com/models/ISF/deta...fications.html Lexus's own site have the IS-F at 4.6 and 13.0 1/4 mile, almost identical to the SS. Your own words.. Now, tell me who you know that races/runs at legal speeds? Thank You.. As I said and was confirmed by others. You will be fine against the 350, but will have a more comparable run with the ISF due to it running similar times to the SS, 5.0, and M3.. Magic word being similar, not axact...

This article overrides those. Who goes to kelly blue book or yahoo for 0-60 times ? Real world numbers are low-mid 13s(13.7-13.8 on a bad run) and 0-60 in 5 seconds or less, there are a plethora of youtube videos out there of this, or just go and visit any IS forum. Or visit your local drag strip, there are a few that hit up Thunder Valley Raceway every other weekend. As stated before, it's first two gears are very low, lower than the first two gears on the 8-speed IS-F. It hooks up easier and since it's auto you just floor it and go, that easy. Notice how the G35 overtakes the IS350 at 120 mph+, but also notice how the IS350 trapped 103.1 mph, 3-4 mph quicker than a V6, but 5-6 mph slower than an SS. It's nearly a full second faster through the 1/4 mile than the V6 auto Camaro, and only about a half second slower than an L99 SS though. Once again showing how ridiculously easy 350's hook. http://www.roadandtrack.com/var/ezfl...abd609bbf8.pdf LOOK AT THE REAL WORLD TIMES.... Here's a 13.2 from a stock IS350, once again proving my point, timeslip is posted. http://www.dragtimes.com/Lexus-IS350...lip-13861.html Here's more times from other owners.... http://www.dragtimes.com/Lexus--IS35...l?resultpage=2 0-100 mph, even a 370Z(or any rwd N/A V6 car) stuggles to match the IS350. They are real sleepers, just making a point not to discount them just because they're some luxury n/a V6 Lexus sedan. Last edited by 08-G35s/6MT; 06-26-2011 at 06:20 PM. |

Just give it up an IS350 isnt taking an SS. Im sure all these sources and dozens others are wrong. You are drawing numbers that are best case scenario, and even then it dont compare to average SS numbers.
