I am running NITTO NT555G2 tires.

According to their chart, the 285/30/20 tires require a 9.5 width wheel minimum.

Compared to a 275/35/20 tire the section width increases from 10.94 to 11.42 inches o the 285/30/20. About a .5 inch increase. The tire may look slightly bowed and not square on a 9" wheel. This is with the NITTO tires, which generally run narrower than other brands from what I have seen.
