Help me please

Hello,
I need to replace the cable that is used to manually open the trunk when it is locked.
How do you remove the part that you pull and that clips into the hood?
If you have the method, thank you in advance.

Some pictures here which may help:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/38528020528...iABEgL3ZPD_BwE

It looks like it slides in from rear to front. There are two tabs behind the pull handle. Looks like if you depress those you can slide it towards the rear of car. There is "T" type protrusion which looks like it fits in a slot and holds most of the weight.

Could you tell me on his photos where the two tabs are and where to press to release it?
We do not have access to the back of the handle as in photo 1.

I'm not sure exactly. there is no procedure for removing this in the repair manual. But the repair manual says you can remove the inner panel liner by removing the 7 push-in retainers. Then you slide the liner past the emergency release handle. Maybe with the liner off you can get a better look at what is going on. So the release is not attached to the liner.

EDIT: I circled my guess. From the ebay listing it also look like the plastic latch handle may rotate down. Looks like there is a single tab that hooks over a metal cylinder. Maybe it rotates down and then you can see what's going on. Just guessing here.

Did you get this out yet?
I watched a few videos with different styles of handles, and they all seem to be held with just a few tabs.

I found how to remove it.
Just pass a screwdriver on the side to fold the two lugs.

Good job! Figured it had to be simple if there were no instructions anywhere.

So, did this mechanism or cable get corroded from your water intrusion?

there is no way this cable is corroded, it is in the middle of the trunk lid and under some protection. (in yellow)
The water enters through the seal and through the harness which is on the side of the trunk. (in red)
