Recaro's

Name: IMG_0770.jpg
Views: 746
Size: 145.4 KBMy special order 1SS arrived last Friday and I put it in my garage yesterday (9/9/13). I ordered a fairly unique car as mine is a 1SS with Recaro's plus nav and backup camera, stereo upgrade plus stripes and the Hurst shifter. I'm sure i'm leaving something out but heres my point. I am 6'3 205 pounds. I fit the Recaro's fine but I feel if I was a larger person I would be totally uncomfortable. So if your a big person I would probably go with the standard seats. The good news is that the Recaro's are power on both sides and give wonderful support. My guess is that there are few dealers that have Camaro's with Recaro's just sitting on the lot at the moment so it was a leap of faith for me to order them with no test drive. Now I am glad I ordered them.

Very nice! I agree, you did take a risk, but at 6'3", 205 Lbs, and by no means overweight, so these seats are pretty much designed for guys of your build. I went last weekend looking for these seats to give them a try. They had ten 2014s and not one had the seats, plus I checked out three other dealers, and zip, nobody had a set. I'm on the Petite side, 5'6", 110 Lbs and my husband is 5'10" 180 Lbs, so we should both have a very comfortable fit. I do move about in a hard turn, I'd love to give these seats a try. Your car looks Awesome! Congrats!

Nice! Love the seats! I think I like the look of the front of the '14 non-RS better than the RS. I'm not crazy about that piece of chrome on the RS's. It looks like an afterthought. The factory Hurst shifter is back on the 14's? I thought I read somewhere that GM replaced it with the ZL1/1LE shifter midway through the '13 model year.

Nice ride.

The problem with the Recaro seats is not the driver or passenger height. It's the shoulder width.

Do you really have a Hurst shifter? I thought they stopped those and were going with ZL1 shifters as the upgrade.

The first picture, the shifter knob has some kind of emblem on it, can't make it out tho.

Someone beat me to the petite joke!

I obviously don't have Recaro's my Camaro but I do in my DD. I think the Ford ST Recaro's actually might be a hair narrower than the Camaro - I know the Camaro's seats look a whole lot more comfortable & cooler looking.

I'm 6' and around 215 w/ clothes on & mine are a fairly tight fit also. I'm a bit concerned how I'm going to fit in there with a winter coat on. I think anyone bigger than I am should try them out before ordering.

Gorgeous car. Love the white striping. Mine has the really subtle dark grey, but its almost not even noticable. I have really been thinking about ordering those seats as well.

It looks like the new "performance short throw shifter" that's made by Chevy. I have a late 2013 and it has the same one. I test drove an earlier 2013 that had the Hurst emblem on it. Seems like they switched sometime mid 2013 MY.

It says something like "Performance Shifter 5.1 Ratio." I can't remember exactly.

I really don't know who makes the shifter, I assumed Hurst. All I know is that mine was an almost $300.00 option.
