Yes, the Silverado/GMC line are switching to aluminum in 2018/2019. That was pointed out in extremely short order after the whole "bear cage" commercials started.

Way too much hate in this thread.
By the way...I don't remember anyone seriously doubting that the F150 would get a decent crash rating. Why wouldn't it? It was the body repair that got people worked up.
