Broken already?
Hi I'm a new member. Will update with photos soon
2011 2LT RS. 920 miles on the odo. Within just a few days I had a rough idle (after some spirited driving) than a engine knock on startup (goes away after a few seconds) which turned into a very rough misfire and 10 miles later an engine stall unable to restart. As if the battery was dead(it wasn't). Car is at the dealer now, waiting for the news.Has anybody out there ever heard of something like this? |

Did you use onstar and did they find anything?

Yes I did a remote diagnostic at the first sign of trouble, no codes. Than it got much worse and check engine light came on so I did on star again and they said the coolant system was reporting a misfire. Wasn't more than 10 minutes when the car stalled.

Good Luck I hope they find and fix the problem soon for you. Keep us posted on what it might be. I never heard of this problem either.

they said the coolant system reporting a misfire? and you said spiritred driving , how spirited did you get ?

Where'd you fill up most recently?
I had my car start acting crazy and got misfires on cylinders 1, 3 and 5 after putting in a tank of crappy gas. I'm never using gas from a no-name station again. In my case, it began to misfire when I would put the engine under load at about 60 mph, throw a CEL, and continue to misfire until I came to a stop and shut off the car. Once I turned the car back on, the CEL would clear and I could drive again normally....until it happened again.....and again.... That was the longest tank of gas ever.
