Placed an order for a 2SS Convertible in Riptide Blue Metallic for a customer today. We did not have allocations for 2SS or Riptide Blue but I have my ways.

It was ordered, but was it accepted for production? I think any Dealer can place orders, but acceptance/allocation is the issue.

I take it you don't know that I'm the inventory manager at the dealer.

Yes, I know the difference. It's at 2000 status as of today.

I was aware of that, which is why I asked. Your explanation made it sound like you “ordered it”. My ZLE required no allocation to be built……we all have our ways!

I’m hoping my Riptide Blue 2SS gets picked up eventually. Im 50/50 on it, either it will get picked up quick or I’ll be in for a very long wait.

I made it to 3000, now just hope they get the UAW strike sorted out and that doesn’t kill a short production

My dealer also told me there was only 76 allocations for Camaro 2SS and they have all gone out. 3400 7-20-23... TPW 8-7-23

Same here. I’m 2nd on the list for both dealerships and I’m 50/50.

This is pretty cool. If you don't mind sharing, how were you able to accomplish this? I'm just genuinely curious.. have an order with a large dealership in my area and wonder if they're able to do what you're doing..

i ordered a 23 ZL1 1LE in May, had the dealer switch it over to a 24 when the banks opened. they called me today and said that GM contacted them and said they wouldn't get a allocation for the Track Pack for 2024. Does this seem legit? Vermont Dealer
