LED Reverse bulbs install

For anyone that has tried installing LED reverse bulbs only to notice that they stay on a dim glow when the car is off, here is a solution. I installed these yesterday and there is no error messages or afterglow.

I do not want to steal credit where it is due - I got this idea from a post https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...58&postcount=4 by user UnkonwnJinX. I just tried to improve a little on his idea.

The bulbs are Sylvania Zevo LED. They sell them at all the major parts stores and sometimes Wal-Mart. These came from Orielly's. The resistors are chinese from Amazon Prime with overnight delivery.

I tried to include good pics of how to solder them. The resistors are pretty big - it is important to center the body of the resistor so that the bulbs fit thru the round hole in the housing.

I used 200 ohm resistors because the post I previously referenced says they work well. I used an online calculator to determine that at 15V, the resistors in parallel would consume approx. 1.15W continuously. This is why I opted for the larger 2W resisters.

I had a friend help solder them for me, because he is much better at it. Also, the way we did it, the resistors are completely sealed in the tail light housing.
