Mild 2 Wild, I'm always Wild

Since test driving my car, the dealer asked if I liked the dual mode exhaust, I told him I couldn't tell a difference. I got it over 3500RPM several times and listened for a change, noticed nothing.
I have had the car for a while now. I installed a Mild2Wild switch last night, took it for a drive and no difference with the switch on or off. There was the appropriate fuses in the box. I haven't had a chance to trouble shoot yet, was going to put regular fuse back in the box and try it out tonight when I get home.

Anyone else have an experience like this? Just wondering if it was dealer installed and not done properly.

I did a DIY M2W wireless relay set up with my home link buttons. When cruising you can definitly hear a change in the exaust. Yours may not be working correctly if you notice no diffrence.

I did the switch. I was wondering if the dual mode exhaust may have been dealer installed and they didn't install it properly.

I notice no change at any RPM going down the road. I think my exhaust has always been open since the day I bought it, even though it had the fuse installed. (I have less than 400 miles on car)

I don't really have anything to compare it to. I know at idle it is always open so I can't see the flaps close behind the car. From the day I got the car, I couldn't notice a difference above 3500 RPM, other than the obvious revs. It's not like when I stand on it, the car is mild to 3500 and suddenly gets loud. It's "loud" all the time.

Thank you, that takes care of wondering if the dealer didn't install it correctly. I thought maybe it was a dealer installed option.

I have NPP on my 1LE, i had the dealer pule the fuse(to save me time)when they did PDI Maybe your fuse is missing.I reinstalled my fuse just to hear the difference,i would never keep it in,as the sound is just too sweet. There wasn't a difference and i only started it up at idle,i asked here what was going on, and someone said that it's always open at idle. The fuse box is in the trunk passenger side, check and see if the fuse is there.

I've had this same exact issue... and started a thread on it a few weeks ago(http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=299831).. coming from a 2LT with dual mode it had a VERY noticeable difference.. from having that car and watching youtube videos of the SS with NPP, I feel that my current NPP isn't functioning properly.. I have 3,450 miles on it now and there have been a few times where I have heard the exhaust make some noise on the highway where I think its open but its terribly inconsistent and I feel it's just random..

i always tell myself that "this weekend ill pull the fuse" but i never get around to it.. if i pull it and there is a difference i'll just buy the M2W to forgo going to the dealership.. i hate dealerships... but if not i guess i'll have no choice but to let them tinker.
