Kinda disappointed… :(

No electronic limited slip and no PDA, I guess I'll have to save more for a Stingray or go with the ATS-V

PDA? Do you mean PDR? Performance data recorder?

If so, I wouldn't be surprised if it's being held for the 2017 model. They always have to hold out something. Hence the HUD not being available in 2010 even though the dash was already built for it.

Yeah probably hold for 2017 models or maybe for the performance variants that will be coming

Crap. Was looking at the ordering guide, and I saw that the 5-spoke black wheels will only be available with the 2LT and 2SS. I was going for a 1SS. Why do I have to get leather and a bunch of luxury items for black wheels (that are exactly the same as the standard SS wheel, but black)? In fact, isn't black kind of NOT luxury?

Black wheels are almost always a premium option unless you're getting fleet-spec steel wheels.

I'm not going for black wheels, but I also feel that is kind of ridiculous. Just upcharge for the dang wheels and be done with it. I can see PLENTY of situations where not offering certain things or customization doesn't make financial sense.

But this doesn't. It wouldn't cost any more to offer them on every car.

Same as not offering the upgraded Bose stereo in the 1SS, but yet offer it in the 1LT? Why GM...why????

Aftermarket subwoofer will do the trick lol.

So who here is going to call their dealer tomorrow and see if order banks open up, or if pricing is available???????????

Supposedly tomorrow could be the day?? (at least for fleet orders).

I would think that car manufacturers would start selling black wheels in all trim levels. Black wheels are very popular now, and most folks will buy the trim they want, and if they can't get the wheels they want from the manufacturer, they will go aftermarket. Why give away sales?

Plus, there is nothing premium looking or luxury looking about black wheels. They look more suited to a non-luxury vehicle. They look more like racing wheels.

Pricing will not be available tomorrow. I fully expect the order bank to accept Camaro orders starting tomorrow. If anyone doing a pre-order wants some insight just contact your dealer and ask if they have their guide number for 2016 Camaro allocations.

I have pre-ordered in the past not knowing when the order bank would open and getting mid-morning call from my salesperson saying the server was taking orders and did I want to proceed.

But black wheels are for garbage trucks!

But seriously yea definitely odd you can't get them except the top models.

I just want to own a Chevy Small Block V-8, and the new LT1 is fantastic. I don't want a luxury car, just the things that make it perform better. A8, MRC, Dual Mode Exhaust, etc. The only two things I wanted that weren't performance related are the upgraded stereo and black wheels. Neither of which will be available in a 1SS. So, if I do buy (which is a little less likely now), I will go with an aftermarket stereo and aftermarket wheels. Why is Chevy throwing away sales of these items? I would rather buy those things from Chevy.

You know, I would like HUD as well, but I can at least see why that is grouped in with the luxury package. But black wheels??? I gotta pay an extra $4k or so to get leather I don't want, to then pay extra for the wheels I want on top of that?

I have to talk to my dealer today and verify. I have mine pre-ordered already, I will find out if my dealer has theirs yet.
