1LE/Z28 comparison photos
i took photos from autoblog.com (which i am a lead developer for) and the ones that Firefighter posted (http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=285054) and ran them thru PicFrame on my iPhone. not the best quality or exact matching angles, but fair enough to show the differences.
im working to get a better photo of the front of the Z28 from a lower angle, to match. i also had to reverse the one of the Z28 so letters are backwards and stuff :P i am hoping they snap some photos of the SS so we can see a closer comparison there. i personally do not like the trim around the wheels. curious why they changed the fuel door side. kinda liking the 1LE more and more after today Autoblog vs Autoblog photos: Firefighter vs. Autoblog photos: |

Interesting lines they chose on those rear lights. Up against the sheet metal.

Tacked on fender flares are gross. That is some tacky looking stuff right there. Z/28 front splitter is ridiculous looking to me. If it works on the track great, but that is silly looking. Front and rear look great though.

Really Happy I have a 1LE now. I had thought trading for the Z28 before today................( assuming they built it) After seeing this...I would in no way trade for one. I love and admire the performance of the Z ,but thats kinda where it stops for me. Hope all the best for people who buy one , but the 1LE is the car for me...(Knew it last March lol...) Today didn't change my mind one bit.

If the z28 is another $3500 over the 1le, then that's one thing that would make it worth while. But if it's $10,000 over a 1le, I'll go 1le and make it a '13.

$10K over the price of a ZL1. I think this car will be out of most folks price range.

I love the photography at autoblog, it's why I visit that site. I'm not sure the fender flares work on this car and matte white is just weird looking to me but I think the only visual improvement are the wheels/tires and 2 piece rotors. They should leave the wheels a gun metal color so you can see how concave they are. Actually, the Recaros look cool too.

I would love to have a Z/28, but with the likely price, I will be more than happy with my car with some added HP coming soon.

At that price it should not be called the z28. z28's have always been obtainable.

I am so glad I own a 2013 2SS RS 1LE!
The 2014 refresh looks like it was a rush job with those tail lights that just look cheap. The hood just doesn't grab my attention either. All the hype leading up to the reveal had me wondering since I just took delivery on 11 March if I had made the right choice. Now I know I made the right choice... |

1LE for the win. This still remains my dream car and the only car I'd sell my current Camaro for. I just have no reason to have a track car for a weekend toy. The 1LE is the best looking/balanced Camaro imo.
