I wouldn’t mod anything on a CE ZL1 because it might detract from the collectabilty of the car in the near future.

There is nothing special about the 2024 collector's edition compared to previous model years, so I don't think it will be particularly memorable. Yes, it's a limited and numbered edition, which may matter to some, but it's hard to foresee how much. Look at the 5th gen Z/28, now that was a very special farewell car. Doesn't matter that it wasn't dailyable at all, it was built for one thing and did it very well. Inflation is messing greatly with prices, but its value seems to be climbing after less than 10 years, just checked a few low mileage ones and they sell above original MSRP.

Yes, but they also allocated out another dozen or more Gearhead said so that number will grow as they come off the line.

Nitro yellow will likely be rarer from a number perspective, but I think CE ZL1s are going to be super sought after since they're the last "special" edition. Not going to consider the G56 edition cars as we don't have evidence yet that any of those have been produced for the public yet.

Nothing special about the Panther edition. If it even appreciates at all, the owner will be dead before there's any decent money to be made.

GM Marketing actually contacted me via email 8-9 days ago and stated I would receive within 60 days.

I believe it was Forbes Magazine that ran a piece on the top 45 cars to grab now and hold onto for 20 years. It's been a while since I've read the piece, but I believe it reflected the ZL1 at spot#13 and ZL1 1LE at spot#9. All ZL1/ZLE models that are maintained will not only hold value but increase in value as well. Look at what the '22 and '23 with low miles are going for now. Just the idea of enjoying one for a short time and getting what you put into it back is worth it to me! I really have enjoyed my Panther I purchased at an inflated MSRP but aren't they all...

The anniversary 2002's arent worth much unless they are in brand new condition. The GMMG ZL1's are worth quite a bit. I suspect the CE ZL1 will fall somewhere in between.
Had Chevy made them 1LE's with Carbon Ceramic Brakes and a 50hp bump in power, I think that would have made a much bigger impact than matte black and a watch. |
