It's very possible if he bought his 2016 Camaro during the Red Tag overstock period he came out just fine. I know of deals made during that time that all but wiped out first year depreciation. Also, I see some amazing deals on new leftover 17 Vettes right now. It's sometimes possible to buy a new car and not take a hit. I lucked out this time around on my 17 vert as it's worth more on a trade right now than I paid for it brand new in September!

Who are you to judge whether money is plentiful or not. Some people have more money than they know what to do with and spent it as they see fit for their happiness. Cheap people who have money are not my cup of tea.

I bought my camaro during the 20% off msrp event. And this vette’s msrp was 70 and I paid 57 which is just shy of 20% off. So I actually made out just fine.

This particular dealer had several 2018 z06’s and grand sports and a couple of 2017 z51’s left over and we are going into winter. If you want a great deal on a vette, find a prior year model right before winter and you’ll get a killer deal.

Facts are facts. I didnt judge anyone. Why you think I said hope its worth it?

If it is to him, that's all that matters Francis. I love the new Vette. I also know first hand all about loosing money trading new for new. That's the only reason I mentioned it.

I did the opposite. I just bought the Zl1. Got rid of my Z06. And I know I hate to even admit it, but I like the Camaro better. Oh, the blasphemy!!
