They buy car at full MSRP from other dealers and then resell them at a high cost. I suspect that's what they did in this case. That what they did to me on a corvette.

Ever since saturn my view on cost has been skewed. If not at or below MSRP wont touch a new car. They drop way to much after you drive them off the lot.

They had a black Z28 a few months ago. I wonder if this is the same car and the original customer backed out of it? The fact it has 89KM on it? They will sell the car as used and previously registered I bet......I don't recall the build number of the first on they had?

I don't get your "outrage". They are free to "ask" whatever they want. Just move on.

I understand why this ticks you off, but I agree that there must be other choices. Maybe we can just start a "Dealer Hall of Shame" on the forum, so that people can take their business elsewhere? Having both that and a "Hall of Fame" would be a great help, actually, for those looking for the best providers for both sales and service...

I bet everyone has listed a car for more then it is worth hoping to find a sucker to pay for it. I know I do and succeed most of the time.

Am going to look for an "Outstanding Service" thread. I am lucky enough to have Abel Chevrolet in Rio Vista an hour away; they are one of the best Z06/Z28 service departments out there. I just need to find their equivalent in Austin (or San Antonio or Houston) for service when I'm in Texas...

I wonder what they would give for one getting traded in, probably high 60's. Its not good to see dealers gouging. Its not ethical and it leaves a dark cloud over them. I know some can say just move on, but I wonder if they are the type to gouge on a car because they can, are they gouging everywhere else? I would not support a gouging dealer for any purchases period.

I may or may not have submitted a sales lead for that car with an message indicating that price gouging is wrong. I also may have done it in less friendly words than you are used to seeing from me.
