Even if that's true, that only makes it a driver's race. Calling one car faster (quicker?) than another implies clear and consistent superiority, which is a conclusion not supported by your data.

Bench-racing the match-up assuming changes made to only one of the cars sounds a lot like the excuses people make when they lose.


It appears that you expected too much reflected glory from your Camaro, and your ego took a hit every time Camaros in general got disrespected in some way ("Every review I see sickens me."). Some of that you could have so easily avoided - particularly appearance items that were either controversial or mods obviously "done on a budget". Those weren't the basic car's fault. Try to not repeat this history with your Corvette.

I can't explain or excuse comments made by others directly to you at car shows or perhaps at the drag strip, but if you think they'll go away just because you now have a Corvette you might be in for a rude awakening (unless you stick to Corvette-only events). Those things are outside of your control.


P.S. . . . you might want to keep the Porsche crowd at a good distance.


And FWIW, it bothers me as a Mustang owner that you're blaming the Camaro for things it couldn't possibly fix.

btw I never call the police, ever. I was in a car accident once pinned in the back seat because the car went from 65 to 0 in an instant. I sat there in pain (couldn't move) for 35, THIRTY FIVE minutes before any help came.

I just looked at a ZL1 convertible the other day, it was an automatic and had an sticker price for just over $65,000. I don't see how any coupe would be that much...

I haven't had any problems with my paint but I had those I be getting GM to fix it or I'd be getting rid of it too. The rest of the problems are yours...and you won't be happy with the vette either. Good luck.

Overall, my point was he came on here saying he didn't like his car for legitimate reasons. But he then bashed Camaros in general, over generalized on the camaro community, and say the ZL1 is pointless.
Some responses have been to bash his corvette which doesn't make sense and isnt necessary. While the "they don't wave" comments are funny, he's going to get defensive and use those bashes as justification that the Camaro community is bad.

I advise let him bark.
