I to have State Farm. If you keep onstar and let Sate Farm know they will track mileage and adjust accordingly. I know it's different for you there but in the winter I garage my car, for obvious reasons, and only keep comprehensive in case something happens to it in the garage. I get more of a discount because of onstar than the onstar costs. My yearly rate is 890 and i'm 47. They have already sent me a $200 check for dropping from January til mid April. My agent said that between both I could get as much as a 50% discount. I don't think your agent is getting everything for you that your entitled to.

When I got mine Progressive didn't have the ZL1 model in their system. I'm getting charged what an SS would be I believe. $450/6 months. Full Coverage and 1 ticket.

I pay 103 per month but FL insurance is crazy $$$. My rate only went up $4 from my SS and is only $6 more than my wifes 4 door 4 cyl Toyota. Area you live in makes a big difference.

Edit: Forgot to added $0 deductible on Comprehensive and $250 on Collision.

I have State Farm and have super high limits. Way more than state minimums and mine is less than $900 a year.

If your ZL1 is NOT a daily driver go with collector car insurance. I has my 2001 Z28 insured for an agreed flu of $35k (agreed value means if the car is stone or totaled I will get $35k for it). I paid $410 a year (1 lump sum) no restriction on miles per year I just could not use it as a daily driver. You have a $60k+ car go with an insurance company who will give you Agreed value NOT retail value.

Some of these collector companies won't insure a new car and you're too restricted on where can drive it.

The best I have found is Grundy they will insure the new cars I checked into it for my 2010 but mine is a daily driver.

With Grundy they do not put a limit on how many miles you can drive a year. The reason why I prefer the collector car insurance is simple Agreed value let’s face it you purchased a $60k car and the run of the mill insurance companies do not know what a ZL1 is, chances are they put it in as a SS Camaro thus you better watch out your car might be valued as a SS not a ZL1, your car gets totaled they are going to give you market value NOT Agreed value, so your 2012 ZL1 was worth new $60k could be worth $49k in a year from now wouldn’t you rather get your $60k back?

Grundy does require the following.

- You must have a primary vehicle other than the car you are insuring
- You cannot use your collector car to drive to work daily
- It must be stored in a garage or building (not outside)

Drivers over 25 only respond please.

Personally, State Farm is fairly high. Like $1,100 a year.

I have Hagerty on my 71, SS, and Regal and my rate per year is 1300 for all three with High Octane Road Service, 0 deductible. Just be forewarned Hagerty does it on guaranteed values and use area specific theft reports in their rates (what the agent told me).

Surprised to read this. I have State Farm and only pay 203.00 a month... That's for a 2013 ram 1500 4x4 laramie, 2013 ZL1, life insurance and home owners insurance....

It would have been 177.00 a month but I increased my insurance coverages on my zl1

How many policies do you have? If only 1, try getting a life insurance policy... Then you get a discount for having more than 1 policy, which saves you money and you get a life insurance policy for free and save on your insurance...
