Just to be clear, which screen are we discussing? I believe the "available" screen is the one above the center console, used for "Mylink". If you check the playbook, it says available 8" diagonal touch screen...So, if you get "Mylink" you get the screen. If not, I'm not sure what will go there. The reverse cam screen is porbably in the rearview mirror if not equiped with the screen.

I think the DIC, with the speedo and tach is what was shown for all cars.

I specifically started the thread wondering about the screen in the gauge cluster between the speedo and the tach (I believe those are real gauges with needles and there is a screen between them)

If you read the play book on page 9 it reads:

Available 8-inch diagonal reconfigurable center screen display in instrument cluster (provides information on navigation, performance and infotainment features)

Available, not standard?

If you read the play book on page 11 it reads:

Available 8-inch diagonal high-definition center touch-screen to control next-generation Chevrolet MyLink™1

Again, it says the mylink is Available... Assuming they are talking about two different screens, which it reads to me like they are, neither say anything close to the word "Standard".

I see what you're saying. I did not notice the quote on page 9. So it appears that both are optional, then? Or will they be a package, either both or none?

At 1:40 in the vid, the tach and speedo are clearly normal analog gauges. So what will be in between them is still a mystery then. I magine it will be very similar to what we see in the 5th Gen as far as info then, but who knows?

If for some reason a guy didn't end up with this "Available" screen, what would take it's place? Anything? A normal monochrome DIC like the low end 5th gens? A color DIC? NOTHING? I feel like if nothing was there, it would make the gauge cluster really ugly looking... A little tiny DIC like the 5th gen would look out of place in my mind... Maybe an 8" monochrome dot matrix screen?

Really, without being able to sit in one, at the moment this is my only concern with what I see could possibly be my only issue with the interior.

I know this is an old post. As you know you can't get this display on the base 1LT and its only available on the 2LT with Lighting package which is ridiculous in my opinion. Has anyone looked up if we could order the display and install it in our 1LT? I bet its the same plug hookups as the display on the 1LT. Thanks, any GM dealer that tracks this forum could you please look up this part and let us know. Thank you
