The RS is a looks based package and the SS is a performance based package.

Ok, heres my beef...Im going to get the negatives out of the way first:
-nostrils, not really that great in my book. Kind of goofy looking. -I like the non SS front a lot too. Much sharper to me which annoys me a bit since Im in the market to get an SS -the mirrors just look toyota boring. The current ones are just little works of art. I guess there was only one way to go..down. (they could have kept the same look though) -jumping on the band wagon of the badge placement. Id be ripping them out -the handbrake is not a handbrake. How am i going to start a powerside now? -are those yellow turn signals? I guess the 3rd gen had em yellow but still...red please? -rear bumper is a little strange but strangeness in a sports car isnt that bad -I wont be able to tell until I sit in one, but the haunches seem slimmer. Not as pronounced as the 5, which makes the sail panel (c-pillar look weird) and that bigger window. Am I the only one that couldnt care less about rear visibility? Do Lamborghini owners say "I love the Murcielago, but golly gosh, that rear visibilty is just too bad, sorry" Than being said, overall its a very hot looking car. I admit that I have preconceptions and expectations of a pony car, and its kind of departing from that. And even though I have an auto now (just a lil 6, and I test drive the manual and it was a truck) I just drove a 15 SS with the short throw, and sweet baby Jesus is that thing nice. I cant imagine anything but a stick paired with an LS3 and now an LT1, but 8 speed for auto? What is it, a car or a bmx? Just my 2 cents that grew out into hundred dollar bills

Well that was quick! As expected, I've changed my mind.
It was that PDF sales guide that did it. The SS just looks so good. |

I honestly almost thought this was the first future V6 owner trying to "justify" their purchase or want, until I saw the edit.

In the sales guide (Playbook) it showed a non RS LT. Looks the same except there is no chrome on the front, no rear spoiler and has 18" wheels. Maybe a 2LT Turbo with optional 20" wheels and rear spoiler would be cool. I also saw a video of the test cars at the reveal and one of the test cars looked like it had upgraded brakes, it also had black 20" wheels, maybe it could be some kind of performance package. It also was not an RS. http://www.autoblog.com/2015/05/17/2...e-first-drive/ Last edited by fradaj; 05-21-2015 at 09:03 PM. |

I personally like both. The chrome issue on the front of the RS can easily be Plasti Dipped and or covered in black vinyl.
Now, with that said, I much prefer the RS rear spoiler over the SS. It's very clean and sleek looking. |

The title of this thread was 'Why does the V6 look better than the SS?'
That makes an assumption that it does. Maybe to the OP, it does and there is nothing wrong with that. But that is just an opinion. I'm guessing sooner or later someone may start a new thread 'Why does the SS look better than the V6 or T4?'.
