Nice looking G8, sbendly! What front bumper is that? On the lower fascia, mine doesn't have that extra little piece.
Also, anyone else notice how much the lower part of the 2010 Camaro looks like the lower part of the G8? Same long, rectangular air intake. Round foglights placed at the corners. |

It's the stock front bumper, but it was a GXP, so it was a little deeper -- in the back also.

Gotcha. Yeah, mine is a regular GT. Well, heavily modified (and for sale!), but still a GT.

I'm a new(ish) member to camaro6, but I'm highly excited to see the outcome of this build. I've been a fan of the Trans Am/Camaro lineup for my entire life.
To date I've owned an '83 Camaro Berlinetta, '87 Camaro IROC Z, '96 Firebird Formula, 2001 Trans Am WS6, 2016 Camaro 2SS. Loved em all. To the OP, what does this conversion cost? |

looking forward to seeing this.
I would have bought the Firebird over the Camaro SS if it was still in production. The Chevy Camaro is phenomenal, but Pontiac would have had my money. |

I have not been able to update this much as all of this reveal is shrouded in secrecy until it is official. However, I can say the car is due to depart from the TA Depot a week from today. I have seen almost no updates, so I am as excited to see it as anyone.

I'm soo happy you posted this little tid bit of an update. I only check this section for the TA build and was afraid it was called off.

The car has been undergoing the transformation these past couple of months. It will be revealed a week from Friday, April 14th, after which it will return to TA Depot for some final odds and ends before shipping to me in AZ. I have only seen a couple of photos and a computer generated graphic of the C6 TA design (that I cannot share at this point).

Three more days until the reveal. Two cars will debut, my black with gold snowflakes and t-tops as well as a blue hardtop with different wheels. I have seen the blue one, but not my car. Gorgeous and stunning. Both are on a transport truck, so I won't see my car until just before it debuts.
The guys at TA Depot worked 24/7 the past week to get the cars ready. Below is a photo of my car last Thursday as it came out of paint. Recall that the only Camaro exterior parts that exist as stock are the rear quarter panels. Much more info will be available when the cars debut this weekend. An added bonus is they will lighter than the Camaro. One thing is for sure -- these cars have more Trans Am specific parts than any TA ever. |
