At least you didn't pay for it. I would mod the hell out of it and forget that warranty, because it's probably useless anyway.

just do mods that do not kill the warranty. intake and exhaust would be a start.

“Lifetime warranty” is valid by the dealer you purchased from and by their stipulations.
I’d imagine it would be at least $10k to replace a blown lt1 without warranty, not sure any tune is worth that risk. Up to you.

It's not really free. Add up the labor and consumables costs over time and you will see they come out ahead. They are also counting on an owner not having that car 4-5 years from now.

You guys are missing the big picture, what was your MSRP and what did you get it for?

I personally would not own any GM car that was not in warranty. 8 Speed trans has some issues and the 6 speed has hydraulic slave issues. I had to have work on both in the past and the cost would have been substantial.

If you did blow the motor I'm sure they would find an exclusion. My girlfriends car has some dealer extended warrentee. She paid for it (got taken), had problems and they denied, denied denied. Basically everything excluded on some minor bs technicality. These warrentees are written by shady lawyers, not by honest people. |

Warranty looks legit. Very cool, I hope that dealer stands behind it and it helps their bottom line.
