S8+ with charging pad.

Has anyone found a way to make the s8+ compatible with the wireless charging pad? I did some research and the threads were all older and multiple people stated they were working on a way to make it happen but never updated the threads.

Just curious if anyone knows. I am picking up a 2017 2SS this weekend and wanted to know what I needed to do to make it work if possible.

I don't have an answer to your question, but my S8+ won't connect with Pandora (bluetooth) or Android Auto (wired) unless I turn wi-fi off first (even though I'm not even close to a wi-fi source). Let me know if you experience a similar problem with your S8+.

I pulled the pad off and removed case around phone to make it work. Your better off using usb cable with android auto.

I use my S8+ with my Camaro (Can't get it to wireless charge) but I never had your issue. My phone always has WiFi and Bluetooth on. It connects via Bluetooth instantly and once plugged in loads Android Auto without an issue. I know you said you're not close to a WiFi source, but not even the car's?

Wifi on my 2016 has been off since 3 mos. after purchase (not worth paying for) in summer of 2016, but it could be confusing my S8+. My new S8+ is unlocked (service is AT&T), but that shouldn't be a factor. My S5 had no such issues. I checked settings on the S5 and duplicated them on the S8+.
I'll keep experimenting, but at least the S8+ works fine if I turn wifi off first.

No issues with compatibility with my S8+ Just can't believe nobody has developed a hack for to get it to charge bigger phones.

I have a S8 active, I have no issues with Bluetooth or WiFi in my 17 SS. I did try the wireless charger last night. I took out the rubber cover set my phone down, it did start charging but then I hit my phone and couldn't get it to charge wirelessly after that. i usually dive using AA with waze going and music through there also.
