Looks like GM is going to meet their goal of 100,000 Camaroa for the 2010 MY.

Anybody dumb enough to buy a 2010 (non-Shelby) Mustang instead of a 2010 Camaro or waiting for the 2011 Mustang is dumb enough that their sales shouldn't be counted.

Acknowledging stupidity is the start of a slippery slope toward embracing stupidity - and ultimately encouraging it.

Hence the logic in his user name.

You're right. But then, why buy a new car of any year model? Rarely does any make or model of car not see an improvement or refinement over the outgoing model year.

Considering only a very small percentage of all buyers even care about the performance aspects of a car, I doubt the extra horsepower the 2011 Mustang brings to the table trumps the crazy deals you can get on a 2010 Mustang right now. Just a thought.

I think it's safe to say we're gonna hit 100,000 Camaro's by March 16.

if the camaro had 0% financing like the mustang there wouldn't be one left on any lots.

Cool Video

Ah, don't worry....they are also claiming 30mpg with the automatic v6. Classic game of one-upmanship.

GM did it with the SS LS3 (426hp) when compared to the Challenger SRT8 (425hp).

Either way, the Mustang still isn't getting an IRS. Check out how loose that backend gets in this Motor Trend video...

Rolnslo,

Cool video............thanks for posting !!!!!

They only sold 624 more Camaros in January because Oshawa was shut down the last week of Dec, and for the first week in January. Also, the current lack of supply means that most people buying a new Camaro are ordering their car vs. the 2010 Mustang buyers can walk into a showroom and drive off with it. But this argument can be settled with February's sales comparison.

I bet people are getting really good deals on mustangs right now. After all, who would really want to buy a 2010 when you could get new the engine for 2011? I think that if it wasn't for the 0%, they would have a really hard time moving those.
