In search of the ideal (and reasonably priced) springs
I was looking at Ebach springs because they are priced pretty competitively, but I’m not sure if there are the best for my application.
I want .75 – 1 inch drop (My low T2 splitter already hits the ground on parking lot dips). I’m installing Vredestein Tires which will be about .75 taller than my stock tires. (they will be mounted on new custom 3 piece 22 inch wheels) Since they are a taller tire I don’t think I need as much fender fill as with shorter tires, hence the desire not to go to much shorter. To try and avoid the splitter hitting however I think the spring rate should stiffen up faster to as to avoid bottoming the splitter on dips. It appears the factory rate is constant, but most aftermarket progressive. How do I choose? Is there a spring that’s reasonably comfortable, but stiffens up quick enough lessen the chance of the splitter hitting in comparison to my factory springs? I welcome all opinions

i personally went with Pedders, and they look great with my 22" wheels. Have you looked at BMR springs?

I looked at the pedders catalogue, and it would appear I’d have to drop 1.3 with their springs. If I had my choice I’d only drop .75 to try and keep my T2 splitter from scraping any more than it has to.. Someone mentioned to me that their BMR springs rode a bit stiffer then they would have preferred. .
Has anyone compiled a table of spring rates against the factories? Anyone else have any input?
