The fun factor goes up even more when you add another 200 hp. Best car I have EVER owned.

Working on it! Do I need bigger blower or cam?

The only thing I dislike about these cars is the interior. Looks great, but feels cheap. Too much plastic. I wish they would have done a bit more.

Yeah I don’t mind it, but I could see it being better for sure: I enjoy adding carbon 🤣

It’s much cheaper to purchase an SS or a 1LE something and build sumtin? ZL1s are 20K more and insurance is off the hook, plus the extended warranty. Build and one still pays regular insurance (pay extra for add ons) and it is still cheaper than ZL1 insurance a noticeable amount difference.

A stock zl1 will always be much more reliable than a modded SS making the same power as a stock zl1. I heavily regret getting my SS 1le. Should have paid the upcharge for a zl1.

I had a 2023 2SS/1LE on order before I got my ZL1. I gave both VIN numbers to my insurance agent and the cost was the same for both. So that was another bonus in getting the ZL1. No insurance penalty so far.

My exact thoughts. I was getting a 2023 2SS/1LE and the ZL1 was $17k more. I think you get a lot of extras for that upgrade and price increase. Plus having the extra stout engine internals of the LT4 is a big deal and with the engine builder provenance is nice too.

I would even go and say a stock ZL1 LT4 is probably more reliable than a stock SS LT1. I only say that because my 2017 2SS with 10k miles had a catastrophic engine failure with no fault of mine (crank and rod bearing failures). I am hoping the ZL1 LT4 engine holds up better.

I think with today’s technology that one could build an SS putting 20K into the motor and have something that would smoke a ZL1 and dang sure be more dependable. I’m not saying the ZL1 is not dependable I am saying a that a professional LT/LS (same motor basically other than oiler) gear head could build a motor a lot better than the ZL1 comes stock! And it would smoke any stock ZL1. Shoot you can build the SS motor internals and put a Whipple 3.0 and walk away from the ZL1. If anyone thinks different I am sorry but it is the truth.

There is always someone faster!
