Which Shop for Performance Work?

I’m going to be upgrading my car this Spring. I’m torn between two shops at the moment: RPM and LMP. I’ve heard some iffy things about CSP so idk if I want to bring my car there. There’s another shop that I’m considering called Dynamic Raceworks. So far, RPM has the best price at $6800 for headers, Rotofab Big Gulp, Flex fuel, spark plugs, and a tune. LMP is $7400 but that includes the RTD cable and coated headers. Both shops don’t recommend coating the headers. I have no idea who I should bring my car to. Who do you recommend?

I would install a CAI and Flex fuel sensor, purchase HPtuners, and get a remote tune. Make more power with this for a fraction of the cost. E60 alone gonna be a 40-50whp gain. Probably gain 60-70whp with these 2 mods. Next mod for me would be a ported Supercharger and TB.

Headers would be last unless you install them yourself or find a shop that will do catless simply because a lot of places won't do catless headers anymore and the base cats that come with header kits are shit compared to stock. Only the GESI gen 2 hold up but they are expensive.

On the coated header input, only coatings I have seen last is Swaintech and Jet Hot 2500 coating. All the cheaper stuff will degrade on the primaries due to the heat produced and fail at some point. I run the Jethot 2500 on my stuff and it has held well through the years and really helped with the temps.

I can speak from first hand experience about CSP! I got most of all my parts from CSP! Alex was always quick to respond and never let me buy something that wouldn't work with my build. He kept me heading in the right direction the whole time! Andrew did my first tune and WOW was he responsive and the tune kicked A$$. Even on a Saturday while data login, he was emailing me back new tune files to flash! Yes (Andrew), it was interesting with "accidental" 162MPH final pull! But, hey, it was all in my control to take my foot off the pedal! I only switch from Andrew doing my tune to Ted at JRE as Andrew wasn't up for a remote Flex Fuel tune. I don't hold anything against CSP! They were there for me, keep me doing the right mods and was very responsive! Remember, you most hear about the ones who had a bad experience, and seldom hear from the hundreds that had great experience!

Rubber to the Road !

Thank you for your inputs. I’m probably going to let the shop do everything. I would have loved to do the headers myself but I don’t have a lift lol

A friend of mine went there and wasn’t happy with the parts they installed. Apparently there was an issue with the headers

Late Model Performance of Md is who I would recommend!

Alec is a good dude, not cheap but I don't do cheap on a $65K car!

SSallday, was it an issue with their own header design with Kooks or Stainless Works, or an install issue?

CSP did the work on my car. Was supposed to have the stage 2 intercooler, they ordered and installed the stage 1. Refused to help me out with upgrading (after spending over $20k with them), told me even if I bought and installed it I'd have to bring the car back up to PA to retune. Bought a used stage 2 as the heat soak in the summer was terrible with the stage 1, had Ted Jannetty remote tune it and the car was completely out of fuel nearing 7 ms. Caused misfires during pulls, glad I didn't hurt the motor. Upgraded to LT4 injectors and a JMS BAP through Ted, the car runs much better and is making more power. Whoever did the install must have baby hands, blew an intercooler pipe off from a loose clamp, pushing the fender liner out into the tire (this is when I discovered I only had the stage 1 intercooler). Procharger intake fell off due to a loose clamp. When I adjusted the tensioner, the bolts felt barely more than hand tight when I removed them. Companies who refuse to help their customers out, especially that spend a good amount of money with them deserve to fail. Yes, I may still be a bit salty about it all...

I have Jet Hot 2500 coating on my Kooks 2" headers, been on there for 3 1/2 years now and still looks like new. The amount of heat reduction under the hood is insane.

I believe CSPs headers are made by Kooks now last time I heard. Not sure why they switched although I know some people really didn't like the ball style flange on the SW headers.
