In theory,... but if you want everything that comes on an LT you'll be spending a lot more money in the long run if you buy an LS to turn it in to an LT. ...unless you get a seriously wicked deal on the LS.

Edit: with one caveat. If you plan on using onstar and want bluetooth and plan on buying it aftermarket, go with 2010 and not the 2011 model. It's a white lot easier finding the onstar unit for 2010. |

Oh alright thanks guys!
And basically the only things I want from the 1LT/RS is the headlights, the rest I plan on modding it myself to make it special you know? But thanks for all the info guys! Cant wait to get my camaro very soon! |

Good choice, on the 1LtRS. I would have gone for the RS package, but I just added everything later. I couldn't wait and I got a badass deal on my car. 1Lt non-RS.

The only thing you can't do to an ls is the bluetooth cuz gm won't sell you the onstar module with blue tooth but if you don't care about onstar then you can put out some cash and get a bluestar which takes out the onstar and replaces it with a blue tooth system.

This could be dealer specific (I don't know if it is) but when I inquired about upgrading my headlights from regular 1LT-Non RS to the halos, I was told by two service departments that it'd void the warranty on the car. It wasn't a big deal for me so I didn't push it.

Agree completely with lilBlueCoupe. Had to special order my 1LT because there were none for 500 miles WITHOUT the RS package but with a sunroof.
To each his/her own. To say a Camaro is not a Camaro without RS, or they are a must is wrong. I found nothing in the RS group that justified the 1600 price. Get what you can afford and make it your own. |

doesnt the RS package come with the boston acoustics sound system too?
IMO, the stock headlights on the non rs are really ugly. |
