Your thoughts? 1ss or 2lt?

So I may have an opportunity here to upgrade to a 1ss but, money aside, wondering what your thoughts about the move. I like my tech and the 1ss doesn't have any of that. Not even heated seats. It will have the rs package. I'm just wondering what your thoughts are either by those that made the move. Should I do it? And ya I know decision is mine.

Personally if I could afford it, I would do it. I prefer power over gadgets.

SS or nothing, I had the 2LT but after test driving an SS, there was no comparison... Lucky for me they had a 2SS in the same color, traded up... so the only thing I sacrificed was my bank account LOL

after driving my BMW and my moms caddy for majority of my driving, i feel the cloth seats in my 1ss are not very comfortable. sure 15 mins trips are ok, but there is not much support for your back. so thats one thing about my 1ss i don't really like, but the car sits all the time so its not that big of a deal for me.

but ya that v8 is no joke. i would go for it.

IMO the cloth seats are plenty comfortable. I would drive home on leave and passes from Ft Knox to Cleveland thats about a 6 hour drive, and I found the seats more confortable than my old car that had leather seats. You should get the 1SS the V8 is worth it.

Go for the big motor. You won't be disappointed.

Depends what you're looking for. I ordered a 2LT because I really wanted all the gadgets and the leather. If you are looking for more power and you are comfortable installing stuff after market, go for the SS.

Exactly. Since you already have a V6 you could always mod it for more power, sure you won't be as powerful as an SS but there are options. For instance a couple of users are using E85 (I'm about to as well) and are seeing power of over 300 to the wheels, running mid 13 second quarter mile. Can't argue with that!

Do you want HP or gadgets? The 6 was always enough for me we I ugraded to a 2LT. But its not the same for everyone. You have to be happy.

The engine, always the engine. The doodads are superfulous. I did not want the mostly vinyl "leather" seats. I could care less about bluetooth. I would have coughed up the money for anther 100 HP in a heartbeat. just my opinion.
