A lil bored, check this out...

Got a little bored in the garage and went to town with some fine line tape. Imagine the boxed in areas painted matte black. Opinions please...

Go for it! I think that will look good matte black. Do it in vinyl first.

Thanks for the replies. Haven't seen it done before on top of the fender. I've seen that style down the sides, but I think this on the rear fenders with a set of matte black rally or bumble stripes would deff make the car stand out in the crowd. Throw a zL1 matte black spoiler on there too. I think that would be a winning combo in the looks department.

My honest opinion is I don't like it at all, but if you do go for it. Cheapest option is use plastidip so you can peel it off if you don't like it.

Not worries, I appreciate the honesty. Hard to come by these days, at least in Cen-Cal. Every1 is busy trying to be p.c. & stroke egos to gain favor.

What's this plastidip you speak of?

I like it. Plasti-Dip it first that way if you don't like it, you can just peel it off. It's a rubber based spray paint that's removable. Just search YouTube for it.

+1 with the plasti dip test. Just make a decision quick. I did a 1/2 ass job for testing out hood spears and let it almost turn permanent... You don't want friends calling your car "the jagged edge" for all the wrong reasons.

Something about that says either 80's lambo or actual bumble bee stripes.

I think it looks sweet!! Do it with plastidip like everyone else said. It's easy and if you like it you can leave it, it won't hurt the paint like it seemed like he was saying^
Easy way to remove it from paint is to spray some wd40 on a towel and lightly rub it over the plastidip. That is, assuming you don't have enough coats. If you do, it should peal off. Can't wait to see the finished product!!

+2 for the plasti dip; hard to tell from the outline which way it will go (look) and with the plasti dip you can peel it off if you don't like it. If you like after a while, you can peel it off and do something a little more permanent.

You can pick it up at your local auto parts store, I know AutoZone carries it, or on line.

I agree that the concept just doesn't sale itself alone, with the additional's that you mentioned, each would compliment the other...

Thanks again for the replies. I think Ima do a little research on the plastidip and give it a go. Alone, I think it would look just ok, but a bit out of place. But with the stripes and spoiler.... I think it'll turn more heads than she already does.

Some advice, if your going to plasti dip that big of an area, you may want to mask off the whole car. That stuff lingers in the air quite a bit.
