Lot of posts about what a pain it is to install and remove the tonneau cover. Geez, hope you guys never have to open a bottle of beer. Probably will need a 3 day nap, lol.

My original top flapped like crazy, but the new one didn't, I wondered why. I asked the top guy about it and he said the new tops have additional straps to keep the top tighter when it a down. Maybe that kjs all it is.

Tonneau cover take 30 seconds tops and I have the bungees and installed Velcro. Come on guys. Once you know how to fit it it's fast and easy. Highly recommend Velcro install.

I myself have only noticed minimal movement of the top. I HATE that stupid cover! I used it when I first bought the car but after about 15 minutes on the highway at 70mph and it pops up and starts flailing about. That piece of crap is in it's bag in my room.

Lots of trolls complaining about a great car, I don't mind putting the tonneau cover on. I think it finishes it off nicely, only takes 45 seconds to put on and mine stays put.

I drove about 250 miles today with the top down going 75 mph on the Interstate. I did notice some slight flapping of the top, then put the back windows up and it stopped. Problem solved for me. I also noticed that when driving into a headwind with all of the windows down, the top flapped more. And with a tailwind, there was much less movement. Having the back windows up really made a difference. But I do want to get a tonneau cover one of these days, it does look good.

No video, usually have my eyes on the road when I am driving. I do not see the top shimmy, shake, roll, or "inflate" when I look into the rear-view mirror, and I see the top as plain as day in the rvm. Owned three years tomorrow, and top is as good as new, tonneau has been on twice in all this time.

seriously guys! my last car was a Solstice GXP with a manual top that weighted a ton and i would push it into the trunk then pull it back up and i'm a woman in her late 50's! sheeesh! the tonneau is such a pleasant surprise and takes me about a minute to get out of the trunk and on the car.

Wow, so much whining about the cover. I have no complaints, takes all of a minute to put on and it looks soooooo much classier.

Installing a Velcro strip on your tonneau cover so it doesn't pop up in the middle.

Has anyone ever ruined their top by not using the cover?

I usually put to tonneau cover on, but on a recent trip we drove with the top up on the interstate, but the last 30 miles or so were on secondary roads so we put the top down. The tonneau was behind our luggage so we left it off. I noticed a bit of flutter, not too bad, but it was annoying me. For some reason I decided to raise the back windows to see what would happen and the flutter quit entirely. Now, I agree that I don't like the look of raised windows on a convertible with the top down, and just the back windows up probably looks silly, but it sure does the trick and I can't see them so who cares?

I agree with ccmadonna -- the top on my Sky is a lot more trouble than the Camaro's tonneau, but neither one is anything to complain about compared with the inconvenience of a metal roof!
