The Camaro is a cool car, don't get me wrong. But the 1970 Chevelle.......... it looks like it would beat you up and steal your girlfriend. Bad ass to the max. I just wish I could find one for a decent price!

The prices online are just nuts, lately. A 'Clone' SS with a non matching (obviously) 454 and the guy wanted $40,000. Give your head a shake!

Nah get one with a 350 in it or just a good SS body and build it yourself to your liking.

Same here. The 5th gen has some styling aspects of all three years of the first gens but brought into a modern light.

Not so sure it will be. It really didn't add anything new or cutting edge, just took what they had powertrain wise, retro looked the body with the modern flare and released it. I love the car but in no way did it go over the top in styling or performance...unless you consider the soon to be released ZL1. Now that may be one of the all time great cars someday.

I was lucky enough to own both a 69 Camaro and 71 Chevelle. If you measured fun factor, the Camaro wins hands down. The Chevelle was a great car and I loved it, but if I had them both at the same time, the Chevelle would have seen a lot of garage time while I was out in the Camaro. The Camaro turned more heads and provoked more converations than the Chevelle. The Camaro handled better as well. I will give ride quality to the Chevelle though That car rode so smooth!

I really just want a perfect body and interior and no motor or transmission. There is a chassis builder that does unreal work and has motor mounts to fit any 'LS' series engine.

I would love the 'Old' look of the Chevelle body, with modern suspernsion, Brembos on all 4 corners and then pop the hood and see an LSA or LS9.

I don't consider my car a classic, and I'll admit the car was pretty cheap. It's also damn slow, but the looks of the car are fantastic, completely ahead of it's time. I realize not everyone will like my car; I'm okay with that.

Despite my earlier comment, the 5th gen is one of the best looking cars on the road at the moment, with a ton of features, which is why I will own one at some point in time. The only reason I stick around is because I like these cars.

I really do think the 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS6 should take the prize, but a '69 Camaro is very worthy. When I strike it rich I'll have the Chevelle and a '69 Camaro RS/SS. I love those hidden headlights.

As far as "looks" go....My vote would have been for the 1963 Corvette Stingray Coupe. Almost 50 years later, the design still looks modern! To pick the absolute best Chevy ever would be very difficult for me...I liked so many of them!
