Totaled the 1LE...
Sadly last week I was driving along and loose dog ran into traffic, causing several accidents including my 1LE. I wasn't paying close enough attention and when I saw the brake lights of the truck in front of me it was too late. I estimate I was probably going 10-15 for the impact, and while the jolt wasn't terrible, the airbags deployed which probably the worst part since it was totally unexpected. I'm fine, no injuries to anyone involved luckily, but got the word that the 1LE is going to be a total loss this afternoon. It sucks on many levels, mainly because this is my fault and the only person to blame is myself, but I really liked that car. Lots of fun on the track, fantastic gas mileage on the freeway and just a fun car to drive.
I have toyed with the idea of the zl1 1LE but since this will spend significant time on the street, I think it's a little too much overkill. My dealer is currently trying to find me a replacement. If anyone has any leads on a black 1LE, let me know, the only option I require is the PDR. |

Seems like the impact was faster than 10-15mph but glad your alright hopefully your not upside down on your car.

Sorry to hear about the wreck.
I know you said black, but I have a White 1LE w/ PDR and under 3k miles. 100% stock. I really don't get the opportunity to drive it as much as it deserves, so if you are interested let me know. I have not really thought much about selling (I love it), but with my current work situation I don't see getting a chance to enjoy it in the near future. |

I wasn't on the phone or texting, following distances in the bay area are much shorter than they probably should be because of all the traffic. I ran into a HD chevy and it was just the angle of my hood and his bumper that makes it look so bad. His car was very lightly damaged so it was just bad luck running into it. Oh well that's why we have insurance, I guess we will see how the insurance company does when it comes to value...

Now you will get the opposite color. What is it about white and black cars? (I am the same way BTW)..
