My 2011 v6 m6 VS my dads 2011 challenger rt

Camaro has hankook tires, intake, cat back and a tune with a manual tranny, challenger is automatic and has a cat back, who wins?

Challenger is faster stock for stock and I'd say your mods are probably actually giving you less HP than just his catback is.

My money would definitely be on the Challenger.

The only way you'll get him is if he forgets to turn the car on.

His car weighs a ton though and if I remember right it's 380hp / 400tq this isn't an SRT

Those RTs have been known to hit a solid mid 13 run in the 1/4 stock while our V6 manuals are still hovering in low 14s. Intake catback and a tune with a perfect run MIGHT land you a 13.6 in perfect conditions. So maybe if he was stock and manual youd have a chance but hes auto and has a catback so hes not going to miss a gear and hes got a little extra pep from that exhaust.

Only way youll take him is if you get lighter rims, those stock LS rims are heavy as hell. Then it might be a good race.

I put 20" American racing rims on but I did not realize that it was a mid 13 second car, I thought the weight would kill it's potential but if that's the case he's got me

Unfortunately for you he does. You just need some more mods it can be done.

The difference is not as big as what you make it out to be. Like 3800 pounds compared to 4100, he has a large HP advangtage and a huge torque advantage. With your mods you probably still a low 14 second car while a stock automatic Callnger R/T is capable of low 13s stock (as quick as 13.1).

V8 > V6... sorry, i know you guys have your LLT thing and we wouldn't understand but it's a torque thing, which some of you don't understand. Don't get all sad about it. It's just life. The R/T has you, plus auto is faster/better for the track. Easier to launch.

Thanks

Just another reply from a V6 guy who can't handle facts. Sorry, like I said, it's something you wouldn't understand. I never said anything about a V8 Camaro vs a V6 Camaro.

It's pretty much a given, a V8 is going to beat a V6... usually. There is the age old saying "There is no replacement for displacement". I didnt make it up... Last time I checked 5.7 > 3.6 by quite a bit and I do believe the R/T has considerable more torque than the LT Camaro.

Call me a tool all you want but my comments can be backed up with FACTS. Can yours? Oh wait, it's a LLT thing, I wouldn't understand... My bad!
